Hult Prize On Campus Grand Finale at MIST
The Hult Prize Foundation is a global learning platform that enables the new generation to deliver social change through education and entrepreneurship. This year the challenge of Hult Prize 2024 is UNLIMITED! Participants can pitch any idea they have for a social enterprise, as long as it is world-changing and aligned with at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The On-campus round of MIST took place on the 25th of February 2024. Director of Students’ Welfare (Academic), MIST was the chief guest for the grand finale of the Hult Prize at MIST. The esteemed judges were the Head of Strategy, and Planning of Bashundhara Group Engr. Md. Jakaria Jalal, Rakib Shahriar Rimen, Chief Business Officer of Tenvelop and former MISTian Maruf Ahmed Khan, Director of Khan Plastic Industries. The champion team of the Hult Prize 2024 On-campus round of MIST was “Novacrew” consisting of four members from the 2nd level of ‘Industrial & Production Engineering’ department. Their unique idea is to unveil a new era of eco-conscious material science with ALGAEVA, where they are producing sustainable rubber from algae that is not only reducing the environmental pollution caused by the rubber industries but also leaving a good impact on the environment. The Competition ended with the closing speech of our beloved chief guest and the judges and with a photo session. The participants and all the members of MIST were truly overwhelmed and motivated with their insightful speeches.
